Madhya Pradesh Tops India in Hit-and-Run Cases, but Fails to Compensate Victims' Families

Madhya Pradesh recorded the highest number of hit-and-run cases in the country over the last five years, with more than 60,000 incidents. Despite this grim record, only 592 out of 1,234 compensation claims filed in the past four years have been approved. Nearly half of the victims' families are still waiting for financial relief, highlighting serious gaps in the state's compensation system.
