Rahul Sharma has been an active force in Hindi journalism for the past eighteen years and is currently based in Bhopal, where he serves as Deputy News Editor at Dainik Bhaskar. A native of Makhannagar in Narmadapuram district — where he began his journalistic journey — his career has centred on investigative journalism, public-interest issues, administrative accountability, the environment, and the challenges of rural India.
Since beginning his journey in 2008, he has held key responsibilities at leading media houses including Dainik Bhaskar, Dainik Jagran, Patrika, Nai Dunia, Haribhoomi and Bansal News. He is recognised among journalists who surface hidden facts through documents, data analysis and rigorous groundwork.
Across his career he has exposed administrative irregularities, environmental crises, the misuse of public resources and matters of law and order. His reporting focuses on issues that directly affect the lives of ordinary citizens and the transparency of governance — holding power and the system accountable.
Honoured with the prestigious 'Bhaskar Journalist of the Year — 2026' and the Devarshi Narad Patrakarita Puraskar — 2020, Rahul believes journalism is not merely a means of conveying information, but a powerful instrument to strengthen democracy and bring positive change to society.
