MP Moong Farmers Data Leak: 7,944 Farmers’ Details Out, Payments On Hold Over Excess Sales!
A massive data leak in Madhya Pradesh has exposed the personal details of 7,944 moong farmers, halting government procurement payments across the state. A viral 113-page report reveals that recorded moong sales exceeded actual registered yield by a staggering 1.25 lakh quintals (66% higher), triggering widespread fraud investigations. Major Data Breach: Confidential farmer IDs, codes, and sales records from Mandis and procurement centers leaked online. Massive Mismatch: Total recorded purchases reached 3.14 lakh quintals against a registered limit of 1.89 lakh quintals. Worst Hit Districts: Narmadapuram leads with 2,296 affected farmers, followed by Harda (1,452) and Raisen (802). Demands for FIR: Farmer unions demand immediate police action while the Agriculture Department denies releasing the list, pointing toward a system security failure. To curb middleman exploitation, the state now plans to link all crop procurement, insurance, and Mandi records under a single AgriStack / Farmer ID.
